Crime Reduction 

Everyone needs to keep safe whether it is walking to your car or round a mates fro a drink! All these places Criminals love to strike so you have to be careful! Here are some useful tips to help you out:

1. Check all doors and windows are locked -Always lock windows at night or when your going out! Don't just assume someone else will do it!!

3. Mark all valuables or personal property - use an ultraviolet pen or mark it in some way so that you can identify its yours!

5. Think Ahead! - DON'T walk home alone late at night - arrange in advance to stay with a trusted friend or pre- book a taxi!!

7. NEVER leave drinks unattended anywhere - when going anywhere ask your friends to look after your drink. If you think it has been spiked make sure you tell a member of staff or a friend. Dont forget mens drinks get spiked too!!

9. Don't show off your cash, mobile or any other personal items - don't leave them lying around either! keep them close to you and don't go anywhere without them even if its to the toilet!!

11. Go to the cashpoint in the day - also be aware of people standing around you and always conceal your pin! if you have to go at night then go with a friend and dont check your money in full veiw put it straight in your purse or wallet!

13. Always lock doors, windows, boot and sunroof of your car - even if you are only gone for a few minutes LOCK IT!!!

15. Never leave it  -  even if you leave an old coat on the back seat thieves may think that theres somthing in the pockets! If you have to leave anything, lock it in the boot.

17. Keep your car topped with petrol - try to park in busy well lit areas!

19. Lock your door - if you live in a shared accomodation always lock you bedroom door even if it is to go to the bathroom or kitchen!!
